It has been five years since Hurricane Wilma swept through Immokalee taking one woman’s life and damaging or destroying hundreds of homes. Five years later dozens of families have secured more permanent housing and more than 500 homes have been repaired with the help the local non-profit IHOPE. However an estimated 35 families still are in need of repairs or housing.
